Back in the middle of March I came into your office and we briefly discussed my case already. I'm the electrician from Chicago that drove into a cornfield and is accused of assaulting the nurse that came to help. After all my test results came back clean I was expecting to have the case dismissed. We lost our motion to dismiss. I'm afraid I'm going to get railroaded on this case because of all the media attention involving the nurse. I don't understand how I could be charge for a DUI when they don't have any evidence against me whatsoever besides my behavior immediately after being in a high speed accident and the claim that I admitted to smoking bath salts, a claim I don't remember and deny. Besides the moments immediately after the crash nobody involved with this case can say I was acting like I was on drugs or even coming down off any drugs. Once I came to I was acting completely normal, in the police car, in the ambulance and at the hospital. Are you going to make a sincere effort to defend me on this case? I realize you still have to live and work in that community. I feel this is a 'sympathy' case, system feel obligated to protect this nurse. I was just dazed and confused. Once I came to I was acting completely normal, I wasn't under the influence of anything.
