I am writing on behalf of my mother. She received a Final Notice letter from Dow Corning Trust for filing an Explant Claim. She has breast implant surgery 8/4/81, by Dr. R. Barrett Noone, MD of Bryn Mawr. The implants have collapsed. She never did anything about it. She did not know about this law suit until she received this letter. I called them and they said I had to get proof that Dow Corning was the device used. I called the doctor and he said he only uses Heyer-Schulte devices and always has. He had no records for my Mom. I went to the Bryn Mawr Hospital and got a copy of operative report which has nothing as to the manufacturer. I called Dow and said I could not get that information. Dow must know they are the manufacturer or why would they send my Mom this letter. I researched it and it appears Heyer-Schulte division was American Hospital Supply and through sales and mergers it does end up being Dow Corning. So Dow now says I cannot give them a claim because if it was Heyer-Schultes than that claim had to be present in 2006 or something. I think they are just doing all they can do to keep me from reaching this deadline. Can you help me or steer me in the right direction. Thank you very much.!
