You were referred to us through my sister in Bristol.

I am trying to determine if any lawyer would pursue a case against a moving company as described below.
We moved from Fort Worth to Johnson City in early June, We contracted with Mayflower to pack and move us. When Mayflower delivered our household goods there was damage to our furniture and at the time the driver took the inventory there was two missing boxes. We later discovered there were 11 missing boxes. We put in a claim for the damaged furniture. An inspector hired by Mayflower came out and surveyed the damage and took pictures and submitted a repair/replace estimate report to Mayflower claims. Saturday we got a check in the mail with an inventory of the costs for repair/replacement. There was no mentioned of the 11 missing boxes. The large majority of the boxes contained clothes out of the master bedroom dresser and chest of drawers. Many items that are dear to my wife and deemed not replaceable. We had additional insurance with Mayflower. I think the boxes were stolen by the van driver and crew. They picked up our household goods on May 31. We asked the driver if he was going to pick up household goods we had in storage and he replied that the IMS facility in Carrollton TX would have to send the goods separately. When the driver delivers our household goods to our house in Johnson City the goods we had in storage were on the van. I think I need to file a police report reporting the 11 boxes stolen. My wife and I would like to discuss and see what our options are.
